The fundamental idea of the movie was thought of during Osaka's beatnation summit when I was dancing with a fan to Setsugekka - it was extraordinarily popular then so this time we've used a fan. Like Sense 2008. We rejected Jurisen*.

In reality, this song was from 3 years ago, for remaking it we asked Hoshii to sing it. **

In one part of the lyrics, I kept re-writing it. I wanted my vision of "Mahoroba" understood from just listening to it. ***

Maa, what's that bewitching thing. Play out Mahoroba like The Tale of Genji.

* the room where Sense 2008 was filmed, so it's not like Sense 2008 in that sense
** He's making a pun on how Kanako Hoshino's nickname Hoshii sounds the same to the word for "to want" which is "hoshii". And when he says the tune was from three years ago, he means that Ryu* made it three years ago and he quite possibly infers his lyrics were from then too.
*** Mahoroba is a concept... of bliss and peace. It's a far off land. I suppose the closest equivalent in English is "arcadia" and in Japanese literature, it is a perfect, harmonious place with nature in the ancient land of Yamato.

SO WHY DID THEY NOT FILM IN OSAKA?! Dai actually made it to the Osaka beatnation summit! They only filmed the Tokyo venue of Club Citta. I wish there were footage of Dai dancing to Setsugekka with a fan, seriously.

This does make me think that Dai has a dance for a fair amount of Ryu* songs. But zomg, Setsugekka.
