Technically this isn't "general BeForU" but it has to do with more than one member so I figured this was the best place.

Before you read this, read the Miharu thread. THANK YOU SO MUCH DL. For those who don't remember, Pinkbeatz was something Miharu was involved with in the past as some kind of side project along with BeForU, and I assumed it died with BeForU. If Miharu was ill, then she was ill, not just ill of BeForU, right? But I guess not, because there she is.

Okay now. I got on MSN and was freaking out at Kam and Kata and Vegeta over this. Vegeta did some googling, and pulled up an i-revo community dedicated to Pinkbeatz, here. Which confirms that this whole thing is legit, but also. I noticed that someone named Megumi (not the same Megumi as BeForU Megumi, at least I don't think O_o) seemed to be posting a lot to the community, so I presume she's the maintainer. I clicked on her name to view her profile to see if maybe there was any more Pinkbeatz info there. it has a list, I guess of communities she maintains, on the left sidebar thing (link). I was looking at them, and I saw one specifically for Miharu, or rather, Aya. Kata pointed out that Aya was the pseudonym she went under for the Konami auditions, and thus it makes sense that she's using it now.

...But is it really a pseudonym?

According to Miharu's community, her real name is Kobayashi Ayako, making Aya more of a nickname than a pseudonym. If you look at the description of her community, it mentions a few other names. Specifically:


Now I have no idea what most of this says. I haven't studied Japanese in awhile now and I'm rusty. At first I figured those were other pseudonyms. But I went back to dear Megumi's profile, and uhh... I noticed a few other familiar faces.

EDIT: Okay this doesn't sound very clear, and it basically seems like I'm going off about all of them having pseudonyms, so what right? But uh, my point was... I don't think Miharu was ever sick. And this explains the "personal reasons" why Yoma had to leave so suddenly. Unless Megumi just enjoys making communities for people who don't make music anymore, they've both gone solo and/or gotten involved in other group projects. And either their BeForU names were made up or they're using made up names now.

This is so confusing, but at least it's information. Hopefully this is a jumping-off point for MORE information.

So which means the NEXT girls just have a made-up set of names, and their real ones are probably Aya, Mikuru and Kira. So which means we are going to hear more from the NEXT girls!!!!

P.S I think Miharu just recovered from her illness, Yoma pooled in the money for both of them to start something solo, because Miharu had said back then that she wanted to come back and sing if she can, and Risa wants a career in the music industry. But with the name Super Virgin, I bet the songs are probably lyricised by Miharu (see LUNA+IC FANTASY for details). Risa probably dressed like that because IMO, Miharu still looks quite sickly to me and Risa did the same to make her look less sick.

P.P.S Can we stick to their fake names? I got too used to it. xD

P.P.P.S I think we can assume that this group is something like Coorie before Osada left, with one of them doing the music, the other doing the vocals. Because Miharu's voice had more power, Risa probably did all the composition. A subtle combination of talent in performance and composition. Top grade certified, double confirm with chope and sign.

Pinkbeatz is AYA's solo project alone. They're three related solo singers but they're not one unit. See what I mean? They're sorta like I've Sound, if anything.

I thought PinkBeatz is Chika and Miharu back then. They only performed once at 917 with Rey, Risa and Yoma.

And if I am not wrong it is another 6 member sound group.

And then what about the bunny?

I think Ryuko is right on the first part. On the Pinkbeatz MySpace it mentions another member besides Miharu/Aya as a songwriter... she's just not pictured anywhere. So it's technically not a solo project.

On the second part: What is? It states pretty clearly on Miharu's i-revo page that they're all solo artists. Not only that, but there's only 3 of them. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, could you clarify?

I have been trying to put up on various online translators, but I can't connect (apparently the sites' bandwidth got raped by rabid Miharu/Risa/Yoma fans).

I might do it a while later. But I am just reading from intuition for all that Japanese, but there is something stating about "6 persons" on that evil puppygirl's Myspace.

Baby Faze is PinkBeatz arranger/composer. He is the guy behind LUNA+IC FANTASY (not the lyrics though. Miharu is solely at fault for the subtle yet "hentai" meaning in the sentences ) tune. Chika is Miharu's backup vocals I think, since back at 917 she sang Haruhi songs, which rely on "dualised vocals" (I can't remember the tech term for it....) for effect admist the heavy electric guitars.

That guy is a pro. You can find his site at http://www.babyfaze.net/. He did a few songs for quite some animes and personalities, like T.M Revolution (should be more famous in the GS/D series, puppygirl should be delighted), SE7EN, and L'ARC~EN~CIEL.

Baby Faze is both a graphic designer and songwriter. He designed 6NOTES' cover (http://www.babyfaze.net/gallery/52.htm) and did Miharu's song.

I'm not sure if that's actually from her or possibly Megumi? Since Megumi seems to be running things. But either way, wow.

Well holy ****, he designed all the covers for Mai. I am impressed. This makes me want to dig up my myspace, but I've already got them added on i-revo and mixi so I might not do it. >_o

I may direct her here (I think she'd appreciate knowing that she has an international fanbase), but I highly doubt she'll object to the Risa fanboying.

Anyway. I'm curious as to why Aya/Pinkbeetz has a MySpace, and yet Risa/Yoma don't. Maybe because Pinkbeetz has more of a mainstream sound to it/might be more appealing to an international audience? I don't know. (I'm going to try to call her Aya from now on since that seems to be her stated preference. The same probably goes for Risa/Yoma as well, but they haven't specifically said and theirs are harder to remember. )
