didn't Miharu's blog at some point have an English message to a Hong Kong fan? I could be misremembering, does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I remember this too. There was a discussion about whether she wrote it herself or had help. I remember it being grammatically correct but sounding a bit like a kid.

Yeah, I remember this too in a conversation in bemanistyle.  I think it was snow who originally had it.

I think all of them do, but only formally and very simple English. Probably not articulate.

I bet Alice speaks English like Tsukasa (from Lucky Star) doing hurdles.

I figured out the real name of Risa/Alice!! It is 朝比奈 みくる. xD

Also, I do think that by now Riyu is likely near fluent, I mean, enough of her songs have been sung in English, she must know what  they say by now, ahaha.
That doesn't really matter though. Maaya Sakamoto sings in English perfectly, but she revealed that she doesn't speak much English at all.

That explains why her first album for Macross Frontier is named Triangler. Some of us English speaking fans commented that it sounds quite senseless as a title itself, although it probably referred to the love triangle between Sheryl, Ranka and Alto.

LOL! That one was actually Yoko Kanno's fault! I've seen it written at "Triangler" and "Triangular", but either way it refers to love triangles from Frontier and the original Macross.

As for whether the girls speak English or not, maybe Sakyura could ask Riyu for us.
