They'll be doing the same in GFDM V6 and pop'n 17 most probably. They'll probably be killing off the other BeForU songs remaining in IIDX as well.

In other words, Konami wants to forget BeForU.

I'm not surprised. I'm not even shocked.

I'm just pissed off as to WHY Konami would do such a horrendous thing.

And I'm not even amused by this fact.

Konami was the one who started BeForU. They better jolly well acknowledge that BeForU is one of them.

I suspect that the new head is up to something evil.

I think they've stopped acknowledging that BeForU was their territory when the official BMF site didn't even mention anything past getting new members, let alone release an album and single. As far as I know, BeForU is in a totally indies stage with no big company backing it up.

I think kannazuki has a good point here.  It doesn't seem as much a question of whether BeForU belongs in the games anymore, but rather a question of whether Konami has the rights to BeForU anymore...I think Huh?.  It's almost like Konami aren't allowed to have them anymore or something, right Huh?

How likely is it that BeForU in its current state can go back to Konami??  If there's any possibility, and if no big company is backing them up, then I say they should go back!!!

And Akado, you don't have to be such a pessimistyyy...up to something evil?? Riyu duck

R. Cynic brings up a very good point. Konami at it's heart, is still a company, and companies have to make money. If they can't afford to license BeForU because of issues regarding the rights to the songs and don't see themselves as making money off of it, then they won't bother.

But another point is that Konami, in particular Bemani are allowing their long time composers to come up with with full length albums for themselves - something that fans have clamoured for a long long long time. I mean, Keiichi Ueno, Seiya Murai, L.E.D., Taka, Sota Fujimori have full length albums now after fans requested them for nearly 7-8 years in some cases. These have sold very very well and with Kanako Hoshino and Sana proving to be popular with cellphone downloads, with jun and Naoki establishing quite a foothold in DDR with the people from HappyHardcore.com, BeForU just doesn't seem to fit in with the game plan since idol groups are well... out of fashion. Not to mention that Naoki was their primary composer - if he's not interested in composing for them, none of the other composers will take them. (Consider: Kanako Hoshino's been passed around by Abe, Yoshitaka and Tatsh. Sana has worked with faaaaaar too many people to count.)

CHIKARA, DIVE TO THE NIGHT and the true...'s are still in X however, according to Z-I-v.

Who cares. NADESHIKO ROCK.

Guys, I'm not surprised for losing Under the sky, CHIKARA and GRADUATION.

I'm sad because Look to the sky was removed.

This song removal reminds me of the times of DDR MAX AC.

EDIT:

Brilliant R.E.D, e-motion, CANDY♥, CRASH! were removed, too.

awww so many good songs Sad Oh well I can always find an Extreme machine somewhere....

There is no return for BeForU, like kanna said they just simply wouldn't fit in anymore. I miss the good ole days having my hopes up for Bemani games, wondering what BeForU song will be in the next game. I'm not saying that I don't like Bemani anymore it's just that the recent DDR games have lost my interest.

Say it ain't so Miharu crying =(

So most of us here can be regarded as being stuck in the past just like those people who still do disco or wear bell bottoms...

But yeah...it seems like if BeForU didn't move on to other companies, Konami would have no reason to remove them.  But since:
1) there's the fact that they take extra money to license them now probably and
2) most other people has lost interest in them anyway,
it would make sense on why some of these songs are gone.

CHIKARA, DIVE TO THE NIGHT and the true...'s are still in X however, according to Z-I-v.

So wait...some songs are still there?  So yeah...it's not like Konami is trying to snuff them out or anything.  Maybe there's a bit of a picking songs out of a hat thing at work here Lips Sealed

I was thinking in the same thing, but DDR is not only BeForU... don't forget about Dancemania X-EDITs, HOTTEST PARTY and FULL FULL PARTY crossovers + the new KOs and more new feature from this game!

btw, We lost HERO in DDR X AC because of licensing troubles.

Hey, CHIKARA's not dead.

Yes, you're right about CHIKARA. I noticed that error some hours ago.

Brilliant R.E.D. was an amazing song!
