I also have to fall in the "confused about BeForU licensing issues in Bemani" camp.  I was always under the assumption that Konami controlled the rights for all the BeForU stuff pre-Avex.

I imagine BeForU's popularity has just declined in Japan, so Konami might just be using more popular artists in order to sell their products. Just a thought, but who knows.

That's definitely what it seems like. You'd think they could put a sentence or two of some kind of news on the beforu.cc website... there's just NOTHING. T_T
