They need a strong fan base to inspire them to do something.
I miss them a lot.  Sad

But they're losing their fan base because they haven't done anything.

I have an idea. Instead of them losing their fan base because they haven't done anything, why don't we stay together and do something to inspire them?

What I mean is that, we could gather all the BeForU fans from around the globe and make something to show that they still have a lot of supporters rooting for them. It's a tough work, but maybe it's worth a try.  Smiley

What do you think?

I think it'd be more than tough work. Considering there are ALOT of BeForU fans and lots of them tend to be Spanish speakers (I've noticed that over a while). And then there's the Japanese ones.

Well first, I'm going to assume that you mean the last known incarnation of BeForU with the 3 new members and Riyu.  It's definitely an admirable idea, but you're going to have to face the fact that the last (and only album) they produced didn't sell too well.  So not only would you have to persuade each member, who seem to be doing other things at the moment, but you're also going to have to somehow get their contractors to believe that it'll be worth their money to churn out whatever other music they can make.  Also, I'm sure that many BeForU fans are still ambivalent about the member changing, and by now, I'm sure that many have moved on.  So getting support right now would be pretty difficult.

But if anything, a more realistic goal may be to first somehow persuade Riyu alone?  As far as I know, she's still with Avex, and last we heard, she may still be in the works of another album.  However, we all know that news came a long time ago, so she's probably on hiatus with it or something.

In all fairness, Riyu isn't that well-known, if we/one of use tried hard enough we could probably contact her. It's just where to start and what you'd say.
You could contact Miharu/AYA through MySpace but that option isn't there for Riyu because of avex restrictions.
The only real easy way is if you lived in Japan, but she isn't doing much lately, so her appearing at venues is much less than before.

So far, it looks like the BeForU site is going to stay gone. I tried to go to it a few days ago and it showed a completely different site.

hi,

sorry its been a while since i posted, but i just had a random urge to check riyu.tv and it looks like the site is dead and points to Riyu's blog.

After reading an article on the Japanese music industry, I feel really jaded about how artists are treated in Japan.  http://www.japanator.com/massive-corruption-exposed-in-japanese-vis-kei-industry-13896.phtml  I'm beginning to think that all the group member exits were nothing more than decisions made by the record label and that the majority of work was done by the producers and not the artists themselves.

After watching Sayaka's final concert in Yokohama in 2008, so went passion for BeforU.  I knew the end was coming soon.

That's kind of true for every band/musician though.  As sad as it is. Miharu crying =(
