I can't get that trick to work!

Sorry for the lack of updates on my end, everyone. I had a really hectic week and a busy weekend to top it off. I've also been seeing a physical therapist for some back and neck problems that largely stem from too much computer time, so I've been trying to cut back.


Hey Kyle, I don't suppose you've had time to take a look at this yet? Like I said, I get an issue that I think is related -- if I click on "Admin" in the "Home / Admin / Unseen / Search / My Albums / Moderation" section, it gives me a "session verification failed" error, though if I click "Admin" from the actual menu bar it works just fine. If you've been too busy that's fine, I just wanted to follow up.


Your screenshots sound pretty tame, so I went ahead and added a subfolder.

Update on the mass upload issues: I don't know if there is anything I can do to fix them. :/ I tried asking on the SMF Media Gallery forums, and nobody there was able to help me with it. I did some investigation and found that the uploader is based on a mass uploader designed by YUI Library, so I've tried asking for help on their forums, but as of yet I haven't gotten any responses.

Currently, the easiest way to mass upload pictures would probably be to e-mail them to me (paranoia[dot]rebirth[at]gmail[dot]com), because I can upload them via FTP. You can put them in a ZIP or RAR file so that you can attach them all as one file. If you're running Windows XP or later just right click, go to "New" and select "Compressed Folder" -- it's a little more complicated if you run an older version of Windows, and I don't know anything about Macs or Linux here. Otherwise you can send them to me over AIM, but I only sign on if I'm specifically asked to by someone.

I'm still hoping that I can find a workaround for this -- it might sound silly, but I want everyone to be able to get credit for the pictures they've found, so that it says "Uploaded by" the person who actually put work into finding it. At the same time... I really have no idea what else I can do to get it to work. So I hope this is an acceptable alternative for now. The single-file uploader also still works, if you feel like going that route.

Also, I'm going to be moving this and other topics in this subforum up to the "News" section. I seem to remember having a reason for creating a separate subforum for updates to go on the portal page, but... I don't remember what that reason was, and it seems silly to have two "News" subforums.

Oh, I got the login issue fixed. All I had to do was logout then login again. I guess there was some conflicting cookie info or something.

Oh, really? Okay, cool. In that case, don't worry about my issue Kyle -- it's completely inconsequential since I can just click the "Admin" button like two inches above and have it work fine.

(In fact, I just logged out and back in and it works fine now.)

I think that the site looks great now that it is all connected.  I haven't had any problems yet, but I'll post about it when/if I do.

I hope this particular issue isn't why I've seen you logged into the forums for hours at a time in the past couple of days... D: I would feel really bad if I was like "KYLE INVESTIGATE THIS PLZ >:O" and it turned out I just needed to basically clear my cookies, hurr.

Just a little note about the lack of updates lately:

I'm currently attempting to orchestrate a major apartment move on April 1st, and right now I'm spending a lot of time intensively cleaning and packing. My place of employment is holding a major conference that thousands of people are attending next week, and I'm supposed to go and help out. Between these two things and physical therapy appointments twice a week, I don't have a whole ton of free time right now, but I haven't abandoned the site or anything. There are plans in the works.
